Character Design

The character design for Ezra Caul is inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulu mythology. I designed him as a fisherman, but gave his beard a "tentacled" look and painted faint scales just underneath his hat.

Build-a-lot Fairy Tales art style was intended to look like a living storybook. Therefore, all of my character designs for the game needed to look like children's book illustrations. I achieved this by drawing detailed pencils and compositing them onto heavily textured parchment paper and then painting the characters with light color washes.

On Sanity: Aiken's Artifact I was tasked with designing all of the characters for the 3D artists to build. Each character was a modern day person that was "warped" by the mystical powers that they wielded in the game.

I designed the characters in Galactic Express to look like they were from an animated television series. I sketched the characters, traced those drawings in black outlines and then colored them with flat colors to give them a cell animation look.

Kit is the marketing mascot and one of the main characters from Cat-Fu Puzzle Fury. I envisioned him as a house cat turned Karate expert and designed him to look like an Anime character. All of the cats in Cat-Fu have unique head shapes and color schemes so that they are instantly recognizable on the game board.
