Like most artists, I can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t drawing pictures or writing stories. This has led to a twenty year career in software development where I've been fortunate enough to co-found two successful game companies and ship over thirty five titles on PC, Mac, Console and Mobile platforms. My love of comic books and movies has influenced my design aesthetic and pushed it into a highly narrative direction. I've always felt that I draw pictures to tell stories, and that these visual stories evolve into game designs and user experiences. Over the course of my career I've served as an Art Director, a Game Designer, a Department Head and a Producer, which I feel gives me a rather unique perspective on the creative development process. My experience has made me keenly aware of the value that every team member brings to a complex project, and I enjoy learning from other creative people as much as I enjoy sharing my experiences with them. I earned my degree in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Seattle in 1992, and the Art Institute awarded me the Compass Award in 1998 for mentoring my fellow artists.
